Dai has been studying immune mechanisms and microbiota-immune relationship at Case Western Reserve University IBD Center, USA since 2009, and started Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) for ulcerative colitis (UC) in 2014. He has been an associate professor at Department of Gastroenterology, Faculty of Medicine,
Juntendo University since 2016.
Dai has been working on outpatient clinic, clinical research, and basic research on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) such as UC. He is the principal investigator of clinical research on FMT and is working to establish a fundamental bacteriological treatment for UC.
